Las Cruces artist Storm Sermay is a well-established Southern New Mexico artist who is a member of the Border Artists collective. Sermay creates composites by combining two or more photographs. As she notes in her artist statement, “I started out doing nature composites but have gradually changed my style to more surreal images. Sometimes, as one is falling asleep, strange visions come to mind. With my current work, representing times when nothing quite makes sense, I am creating some of these visions to share with others.”

The Lucky Ones by ​Dina D'Argo

Dina D'Argo creates sensitive, atmospheric images that hover somewhere between representational and abstract. Her acrylic paintings on canvas celebrate the Earth, its flora and fauna, and resonate with those who find healing and inspiration in nature. The quietly powerful, dreamlike images invite the mind to roam freely to places that feel familiar yet wild and mysterious, expansive yet deeply personal. Primarily self-taught, D' Argo works loosely and intuitively, building multiple layers of texture and translucent color to tell a complex story. With a background in fashion Design, she enjoys exploring color relationships and the balance between design elements and negative space.
