She received her Ph.D. in Art History from Johns Hopkins. Ms. Waddell has organized numerous exhibitions on Old Master prints, modern and contemporary prints, photographs and illustrated books. Ms. Waddell made the following comment about James Kane’s work: “I enjoyed studying the James Kane Sculpture website. He consistently seems able to instill his work with an aura of a life force and to achieve an organic vitality whether in wood or cast in metal. Even when the forms are geometrically complex, a flow of energy unites and animates each sculpture. At the exhibit at Mariah’s Copper Quail Gallery I really like the use of pedestals of different heights, platforms for these seemingly sentient beings to witness the world. “ New Mexico artists are amazing!
