It’s all about connections. Connections to my audience and connections to my work. I strive to create pieces which draw people into the work, whether it’s an abstract or one of my abstract-realism hybrids. My main focus is on texture and most of my work is layer upon layer of paint or layers of various materials which I marry together. I strive to create an intriguing play of colors, patterns and shapes among the textures. Watching or hearing peoples’ reactions to my work is my favorite part of the creative process. 

I use mixed media to explore emotions, color, texture, form and overall beauty in anything which inspires a personal connection or sense of wonder.
