"My art is based on photos taken of interesting compositions found in ordinary, daily reality, unmanipulated except for color, although occasionally I experiment with applying bi-lateral symmetry to an image. It's very exciting, being able to create abstract images based directly on everyday reality. All this inspired by 25 years of enjoying an astonishing variety of abstract art in the museums and galleries while living in New York City. I refer to the process as Photo/Painting Alchemy, and the resulting body of work as Imaginarium. Preferring not to repeat myself, each piece should be a new visual adventure."  Taylor Oliver
