​Dan Enger was born at Fort Sill, Oklahoma in 1954. He was the son of a career field artillery officer, and grew up living throughout the United States and the world. 
Dan has worked as a technical illustrator, art director, exhibit designer, historic preservation coordinator, & gallery operator.
His work is inspired by the twisted west of the American frontier, which remains very much alive in our most enchanted and beloved Taos, New Mexico.
